HoxB6 Antibody (B-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HoxB6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HoxB6 Antibody (B-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HoxB6 plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression during embryonic development, particularly in vertebrate central nervous system formation, limbs, and other critical structures. HoxB6 maintains balance between cell proliferation and differentiation, vital for normal tissue development and homeostasis. HoxB6 contributes to generating, proliferating, and sustaining erythroid progenitor cells, highlighting significance in hematopoiesis. HoxB6 expression occurs predominantly in suprabasal layer of early developing epidermis and throughout upper layers of late fetal and adult human skin, contributing to skin development and regeneration. HoxB6 shows distinct expression patterns - cytoplasmic localization during fetal epidermal development, transitioning to nuclear expression in normal adult skin and hyperproliferative conditions like psoriasis. In basal and squamous cell carcinomas, HoxB6 often localizes in cytoplasm, suggesting potential involvement in tumorigenesis. These diverse expression and functional roles underscore HoxB6′s significance in developmental biology and disease contexts, making anti-HoxB6 antibody (B-12) an invaluable research tool.
