    SEE ALSO...

HOOK2 Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HOOK2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HOOK2 (G-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HOOK2 protein, also known as HK2, is a 719 amino acid long homodimer that plays a crucial role in the spatial organization of membrane-trafficking systems by interacting with microtubules through its conserved N-terminal domain. This interaction is vital for maintaining cellular organization and facilitating organelle transport, which is essential for proper cellular function and communication. Unlike HOOK3, which is localized to the Golgi apparatus, HOOK2 is found in distinct subcellular structures that do not correspond to typical organelles such as early or late endosomes, mitochondria, or lysosomes, indicating a unique role in cellular dynamics. HOOK2 may also interact with proteins such as SURF1 and Zic2, suggesting potential involvement in esophageal cancer as a tumor antigen. HOOK2 expression is notably strong in the larynx and esophagus, highlighting its significance in these tissues.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-365716 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
