hnRNP Q Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein Q (hnRNP Q) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). hnRNP Q plays a pivotal role in RNA processing and is essential for efficient pre-mRNA splicing, a critical step in posttranscriptional regulation of gene expression. hnRNP Q is widely expressed across various tissues and is developmentally regulated, highlighting its importance in cellular function and differentiation. Notably, hnRNP Q interacts with survival motor neuron protein (SMN), and disruptions in this interaction due to loss of function in SMN are linked to spinal muscular atrophy, a prevalent neurodegenerative disorder. Furthermore, hnRNP Q exhibits a unique expression pattern, being upregulated after midnight, which correlates with a decline in AANAT, the key enzyme involved in melatonin synthesis. This rhythmic regulation of AANAT mRNA degradation, mediated in part by hnRNP Q, suggests a significant role in the modulation of circadian rhythms, underscoring hnRNP Q′s importance in both gene expression and biological rhythm maintenance.
