SEE ALSO...

hnRNP Q Antibody (I8E4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects hnRNP Q protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). anti-hnRNP Q antibody (I8E4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein Q (hnRNP Q) plays a pivotal role in RNA processing, particularly in regulating pre-mRNA splicing, which is essential for proper gene expression. hnRNP Q is widely expressed across different tissues and is developmentally regulated, highlighting its importance in various biological processes. hnRNP Q interacts with several key proteins, including survival motor neuron protein (SMN), which is crucial for motor neuron health. Disruption of hnRNP Q and SMN interaction due to genetic mutations can lead to spinal muscular atrophy, a severe neurodegenerative disorder. Additionally, hnRNP Q exhibits a unique expression pattern, being upregulated after midnight, which correlates with a decline in AANAT, the enzyme responsible for melatonin synthesis. This rhythmic regulation of AANAT mRNA degradation by hnRNP Q suggests a significant role in circadian rhythm modulation, further emphasizing hnRNP Q′s importance in both RNA processing and biological rhythm maintenance.

Are there any issues with using sc-56703: hnRNP Q (I8E4) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-56703 conjugates.
