HNF-6 Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects HNF-6 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HNF-6, a member of the hepatocyte nuclear factor family, plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression in various tissues, particularly in the liver, where HNF-6 is involved in the transcriptional activation of numerous hepatocyte-enriched genes. HNF-6 is primarily located in the nucleus, where HNF-6 binds to specific DNA sequences to modulate the transcription of target genes, which is essential for maintaining metabolic homeostasis and proper organ function. Notably, HNF-6 has been shown to interact with the promoter of HNF-3β, suggesting HNF-6′s involvement in gut endoderm epithelial cell differentiation, and HNF-6 may also act as a transcriptional activator for at least 22 other hepatocyte-enriched genes, including cytochrome P450 2C13 and α-1 antitrypsin. The ability of HNF-6 to regulate these critical genes underscores HNF-6′s importance in liver function and development, making anti-HNF-6 antibody (B-1) a valuable tool for researchers studying metabolic diseases and developmental biology.
