SEE ALSO...

HNF-1β Antibody (94.8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody designed to detect the hepatocyte nuclear factor 1-beta (HNF-1β) protein, also known as HNF1B or HNF1 homeobox B. HNF-1β monoclonal antibody (94.8) is raised against recombinant human HNF-1β and is validated for use in western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP) applications, ensuring reliable detection in human samples. HNF-1β is a critical transcription factor involved in the regulation of gene expression in various tissues, including the liver, kidney, pancreas, and intestines. The primary function of HNF-1β is to control the transcription of genes essential for cellular differentiation, metabolism, and organ development, making HNF-1β pivotal in maintaining normal physiological processes. Dysregulation or mutations in HNF-1β are associated with several diseases, including diabetes, polycystic kidney disease, and certain cancers, highlighting HNF-1β′s importance in both health and disease. By targeting HNF-1β, anti-HNF-1β antibody (94.8) facilitates advanced research into these pathways and disease mechanisms, providing valuable insights for therapeutic development. HNF-1β monoclonal antibody (94.8) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing flexibility for various experimental setups. Anti-HNF-1β antibody (94.8) is recommended for scientists studying the intricate roles of HNF-1β in gene regulation and its impact on organ function and disease.

I am using HNF-1β (94.8): sc-130407 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Hi, I was wondering why the band showed in the western blot using HNF-1β Antibody sc-130407 is at 50 kDa and not higher around 60 kDa where I would expect based on the protein size.

Asked by: frdf
Thank you for your question. This antibody, HNF-1β Antibody (94.8): sc-130407, detected a signal around 50 kDa in human skin tissue extract by Western blotting. According to Uniprot, (http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P35680#sequences), HNF-1β is known to have several isoforms with predicted molecular weights of 61, 58, 45 and 47 kDa.
