HLA-G Antibody (4H84) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HLA-G protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-HLA-G antibody (4H84) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HLA-G plays a crucial role in immune tolerance, particularly during pregnancy, by inhibiting the activation of maternal T lymphocytes and preventing fetal rejection. This unique function is vital for maintaining a healthy pregnancy, as HLA-G allows the semi-allogeneic fetus to evade the maternal immune response. HLA-G is primarily expressed in trophoblast cells of the placenta, where HLA-G acts as a protective barrier, ensuring that the developing fetus is not attacked by the mother′s immune system. HLA-G′s ability to modulate immune responses is attributed to interaction with inhibitory receptors on immune cells, such as the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor subfamily B member 1 (LILRB1) and the killer immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR) family, which further underscores importance in both reproductive immunology and potential therapeutic applications in transplant medicine and cancer immunotherapy.
