    SEE ALSO...

HLA-DRβ5 Antibody (4D12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the HLA-DR beta 5 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-HLA-DR beta 5 antibody (4D12) is available as the non-conjugated isotype antibody. HLA-DR beta 5 protein plays a crucial role in immune response by forming part of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules, which are essential for presenting processed antigens to CD4+ T helper cells. This interaction is vital for T cell activation and subsequent orchestration of adaptive immune responses. HLA-DR beta 5 functioning is particularly important in autoimmune diseases, as variations in expression or function can influence susceptibility to conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis. HLA-DR beta 5 protein is located primarily in endosomal and lysosomal compartments, as well as on B cell surfaces, where HLA-DR beta 5 participates in exogenous peptide presentation. Peptide binding regulation to HLA-DR beta 5 is facilitated by other MHC molecules, such as HLA-DM and HLA-DO, which ensure optimal antigen-binding groove configuration for peptide exchange. Understanding HLA-DR beta 5 dynamics and interactions is essential for developing targeted therapies and improving immune system knowledge.
