HLA-DRα Antibody (DA6.147) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects HLA-DRα in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). HLA-DRα is a crucial component of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules, which play a vital role in the immune response by presenting processed antigens to CD4+ T helper cells. Proper functioning of HLA-DRα is essential for the activation of the adaptive immune system, as HLA-DRα facilitates the recognition of foreign antigens, thereby influencing the development of immune responses. Located primarily on the surface of antigen-presenting cells, including B cells and dendritic cells, HLA-DRα′s presence in these locations is critical for initiating T cell-mediated immunity. Furthermore, HLA-DRα interaction with various peptide antigens is regulated by other MHC molecules, such as HLA-DM and HLA-DO, which ensure that only appropriate peptides are presented to T cells. Understanding HLA-DRα dynamics and interactions is important for elucidating mechanisms of immune regulation and potential implications in autoimmune diseases, where dysregulation of antigen presentation can lead to inappropriate immune responses. Anti-HLA-DRα antibody (DA6.147) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the complexities of immune function and the role of MHC class II molecules in health and disease.

Are there any issues with using sc-53499: HLA-DRα (DA6.147) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-53499 conjugates.
