HLA-DRα Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HLA-DR alpha protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HLA-DRα (G-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HLA-DR alpha protein plays a crucial role in immune response by forming part of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules, which are essential for presenting processed antigens to CD4+ T helper cells. This interaction enables T cells to recognize and respond to pathogens effectively. Proper functioning of HLA-DR alpha is critical for immune surveillance and initiation of immune responses, and any dysfunction can lead to autoimmune diseases or impaired immune responses. HLA-DR alpha protein is located on the surface of antigen-presenting cells, such as B cells and dendritic cells, where antigen presentation to T cells occurs, highlighting its importance in maintaining immune homeostasis.
