    SEE ALSO...

HLA-DRα Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects HLA-DRα in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HLA-DRα is a crucial component of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules, which play a vital role in the immune response by presenting processed antigens to CD4+ T helper cells. HLA-DRα (B-10) antibody enables research into adaptive immune system activation, as HLA-DRα facilitates the recognition of foreign peptides, thereby influencing T cell activation and differentiation. HLA-DRα is primarily located on the surface of antigen-presenting cells, such as B cells and dendritic cells, where HLA-DRα forms heterodimers with HLA-DRβ chains. This localization allows for effective presentation of antigens to T cells, which is critical for initiating immune responses. Additionally, HLA-DRα undergoes various post-translational modifications, including glycosylation, which can affect stability, expression levels, and interaction with other proteins, ultimately influencing the immune response. Anti-HLA-DRα antibody (B-10) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying immune mechanisms, autoimmune diseases, and the role of MHC class II molecules in health and disease.

Can HLA-DRα (B-10): sc-55592 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. Yes, HLA-DRα (B-10): sc-55592 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
