SEE ALSO...

HLA-DP Antibody (BRAFB6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody designed to target the HLA-DP protein, also known as Human Leukocyte Antigen DP or MHC class II DP. HLA-DP is a crucial component of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules, which are essential for presenting extracellular antigenic peptides to CD4+ T helper cells, thereby initiating and regulating adaptive immune responses. This protein interacts closely with HLA-DM, a non-classical MHC class II molecule that facilitates the loading of antigenic peptides onto HLA-DP by removing the invariant chain peptide (CLIP), ensuring efficient antigen presentation and immune activation. Additionally, HLA-DP forms stable heterodimers with its alpha and beta chains, a structural feature that is vital for its function in immune surveillance and pathogen defense. HLA-DP monoclonal antibody (BRAFB6) is raised against Reh-6 cells, a non-T, non-B leukemia cell line, and demonstrates broad species reactivity, effectively recognizing HLA-DP from mouse, rat, and human origins. HLA-DP (BRAFB6) antibody is versatile in its applications, suitable for western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and flow cytometry (FCM), providing reliable and specific detection of HLA-DP across various experimental settings. By specifically binding to HLA-DP without cross-reacting with other MHC class II molecules, anti-HLA-DP antibody (BRAFB6) ensures precise targeting, which is essential for studies involving antigen presentation mechanisms, immune cell interactions, and the molecular basis of immune-related diseases such as autoimmune disorders and cancers. Understanding the interactions between HLA-DP and proteins like HLA-DM facilitated by HLA-DP monoclonal antibody (BRAFB6) can lead to deeper insights into immune regulation and the development of targeted immunotherapies. Available in both conjugated and unconjugated forms, anti-HLA-DP antibody (BRAFB6) is an indispensable tool for researchers aiming to elucidate the complexities of the immune system and enhance therapeutic strategies, ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes and advancements in immunological research.

Can HLA-DP (BRAFB6): sc-33719 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, HLA-DP (BRAFB6): sc-33719 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
