SEE ALSO...

HIV-1 Rev Antibody (Rev-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HIV-1 Rev protein of HIV-1 origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-HIV-1 Rev antibody (Rev-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. HIV-1 Rev protein plays a crucial role in the viral life cycle by facilitating the export of unspliced and partially spliced viral mRNAs from the nucleus to cytoplasm, which is essential for viral protein production and new virion assembly. This function allows HIV-1 to bypass host cell splicing machinery, ensuring efficient synthesis of necessary components for viral replication. HIV-1 Rev protein interacts with the Rev response element (RRE) in viral RNA, highlighting its significance in regulating gene expression during HIV-1 infection. Understanding HIV-1 Rev mechanisms is vital for developing therapeutic strategies aimed at inhibiting viral replication and combating HIV-related diseases.
