SEE ALSO...

Hep B cAg Antibody (1-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Hep B cAg of Hepatitis B by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Hep B cAg plays a crucial role in the life cycle of the Hepatitis B virus, as anti-Hep B cAg antibody (1-5) encapsulates the viral genome and is integral to the formation of the virus′s capsid structure. This capsid not only protects the viral genetic material but also facilitates the virus′s assembly and release from infected cells, making Hep B cAg essential for viral replication and infection. Understanding the structure and function of Hep B cAg is vital for developing effective diagnostic tools and therapeutic strategies against Hepatitis B, as Hep B cAg monoclonal antibody (1-5) is a key target for both vaccine development and antiviral therapies. Anti-Hep B cAg antibody (1-5) specificity allows for precise detection and quantification of the virus in various biological samples, aiding in the monitoring of infection and the effectiveness of treatment.

What's the difference between this antibody and the C1-5 antibody?

Asked by: Taha
Thank you for your question. These are both monoclonal antibodies that target the same Hep cAg protein. The exact epitopes have not been mapped. Please contact Technical Service if you have any further questions.

Can Hep B cAg (1-5): sc-52406 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, Hep B cAg (1-5): sc-52406 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
