HACE1 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects HACE1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HACE1 Antibody (C-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HACE1, also known as HECT domain and ankyrin repeat containing E3 ubiquitin protein ligase 1, is a 909 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, which is essential for regulating protein degradation and maintaining cellular homeostasis. HACE1 functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase, facilitating the transfer of ubiquitin to target proteins, thereby marking them for degradation by the proteasome. This process is vital for controlling the levels of short-lived or damaged proteins, which, if accumulated, can lead to cellular dysfunction and contribute to various diseases, including cancer. HACE1 is downregulated in Wilms tumor, indicating a potential role in tumor suppression and highlighting the importance in cellular regulation.
