H-Ras Antibody (M90) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody raised against recombinant human H-Ras, a crucial small GTPase involved in cellular signal transduction. Anti-H-Ras antibody (M90) recognizes H-Ras p21 and demonstrates broad species cross-reactivity, detecting H-Ras in mouse, rat, and human samples through Western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP) applications. H-Ras monoclonal antibody (M90) is available in non-conjugated form and multiple conjugated forms including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates, offering versatility for diverse experimental needs. H-Ras functions through a sophisticated molecular switch mechanism, cycling between inactive GDP-bound and active GTP-bound states. This cycling undergoes precise regulation by guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs) like Son of Sevenless homolog 1 (Sos 1) and GTPase-activating proteins (GAPs) such as p120GAP. Once activated, H-Ras initiates signaling cascades through interactions with downstream effectors including RAF kinases (like Raf-1) to activate MAPK/ERK pathways and phosphoinositide 3-kinases (PI3K) to trigger Akt signaling. These pathways prove essential for transmitting signals from cell surface receptors to the nucleus, influencing gene expression and cellular responses. When H-Ras regulation becomes disrupted through mutations, the resulting aberrant signaling can contribute to cancer development. Through these diverse cellular functions, H-Ras (M90) antibody serves as a valuable tool for investigating signal transduction pathways and oncogenic mechanisms.
