SEE ALSO...

pan Ras Antibody (F132) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects pan Ras, which includes antigenic determinants common to H-Ras, K-Ras, and N-Ras p21, in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-pan Ras antibody (F132) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile applications in various experimental settings. The Ras proteins, encoded by the c-H-, c-K-, and N-Ras proto-oncogenes, are critical guanine nucleotide-binding proteins that play a pivotal role in cell signaling pathways, influencing cell growth, differentiation, and survival. These proteins are predominantly located at the inner surface of the plasma membrane, where they interact with various effectors to propagate signals from growth factor receptors. The membrane localization is essential for their function, as Ras proteins engage with downstream signaling pathways that regulate cellular responses to external stimuli. Dysregulation of Ras signaling, often due to mutations in the Ras genes, is implicated in numerous cancers, making the study of these proteins vital for understanding tumorigenesis and developing targeted therapies. Ras proteins interact with several other proteins, including guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs) and GTPase-activating proteins (GAPs), which further modulate their activity and influence cellular outcomes.
