SEE ALSO...

GSTK1 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects GSTK1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GSTK1 (E-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. GSTK1, or glutathione S-transferase kappa 1, is a 226 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular detoxification, primarily localized in the peroxisome. GSTK1 exists as a homodimer and catalyzes the conjugation of glutathione to hydrophobic substrates, facilitating their removal from cells and protecting against toxicant-induced damage. GSTK1′s importance lies in detoxifying a wide range of xenobiotics, which is vital for maintaining cellular health and preventing oxidative stress. As a member of the glutathione S-transferase family, which includes eight distinct classes, GSTK1 contributes to a complex network of proteins that work together to safeguard cells from harmful compounds, underscoring its significance in both normal physiology and disease states.
