GRPR Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR) in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GRPR antibody (F-6) plays a crucial role in understanding the function of GRPR, which is a seven transmembrane domain protein primarily involved in mediating the effects of gastrin-releasing peptide, a neuropeptide that stimulates the release of gastrin and other gastrointestinal hormones. GRPR (F-6) antibody enables detection of GRPR, which is predominantly expressed in the normal human pancreas and stomach, but notably absent in normal lung, colon, and prostate tissues. GRPR monoclonal antibody (F-6) aids in studying GRPR′s involvement in various physiological processes, including cell growth and differentiation, as well as potential role in cancer biology, particularly in well-differentiated colon tumors and prostate carcinoma, where GRPR is co-expressed with its ligand. Furthermore, aberrant expression of GRPR has been observed in female normal lung tissues, which may contribute to the increased susceptibility of women to tobacco-induced lung cancer, highlighting GRPR′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states.
