SEE ALSO...

GRK 2 Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects GRK 2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GRK 2, a member of the G protein-coupled receptor kinase family, plays a crucial role in the regulation of G protein-coupled receptor signaling by phosphorylating activated receptors, which leads to their desensitization and internalization. This process is vital for maintaining cellular responsiveness to external signals, as it prevents overstimulation and allows for the fine-tuning of physiological responses. GRK 2 is predominantly located in the cytoplasm and can translocate to the plasma membrane upon receptor activation, highlighting its dynamic role in signal transduction. The ability of GRK 2 to interact with various proteins, including β-arrestins, further underscores its importance in modulating receptor activity and downstream signaling pathways. Using anti-GRK 2 antibody (F-9), researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms of receptor desensitization and the broader implications for cellular signaling in health and disease.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-166284 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
