  • raised against amino acids 117-180 mapping within an internal region of GRHL1 of human origin
  • GRHL1 Antibody (D-2) is recommended for detection of GRHL1 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • Anti-GRHL1 Antibody (D-2) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP and m-IgG1 BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for GRHL1 Antibody (D-2) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with GRHL1 Antibody (D-2) (see ordering information below).

GRHL1 Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GRHL1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GRHL1 antibody (D-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GRHL1, also known as grainyhead-like 1, is a 618 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation during development, particularly in epidermal differentiation. GRHL1 is highly expressed in tissues such as kidney, brain, tonsil, liver, placenta, and pancreas, and exists as three alternatively spliced isoforms. GRHL1 binds and transactivates the EN-1 promoter, highlighting GRHL1′s importance in gene expression regulation. GRHL1, along with family members GRHL2 and GRHL3, localizes to the nucleus where these proteins can form homodimers or heterodimers, essential for function as transcription factors. The grainyhead subfamily, including GRHL1, GRHL2, and GRHL3, is orthologous to the Drosophila grainyhead protein, known for its role in early dorsal/ventral patterning and tissue development, underscoring the evolutionary conservation of these critical developmental processes.
