granuphilin Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects granuphilin protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). granuphilin Antibody (C-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. granuphilin, also known as synaptotagmin-like protein 4 or exophilin 2, plays a crucial role in regulating hormone secretion and exocytosis, particularly in pancreatic beta-cells and pituitary gland. granuphilin is primarily located on secretory granules and closely associated with plasma membrane, where granuphilin forms a ternary complex with Syntaxin 1A and Rab 27A. granuphilin interaction with Syntaxin 1A is essential for proper regulation of insulin-containing vesicles, as granuphilin modulates hormone secretion and exocytosis of dense-core granules. Notably, overexpression of granuphilin can enhance basal insulin secretion while inhibiting high potassium-induced insulin secretion, indicating a dual role in exocytotic pathway. Mutations disrupting granuphilin binding to either Rab 27A or Syntaxin 1A may impair function, highlighting granuphilin importance as a potential regulator in secretion process.
