GPx-1/2 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects glutathione peroxidase 1 and 2 (GPx-1/2) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GPx-1/2 plays a crucial role in cellular antioxidant defense by catalyzing the reduction of harmful lipid hydroperoxides and hydrogen peroxide, thereby protecting cells from oxidative damage. Anti-GPx-1/2 antibody (E-7) is particularly useful for studying tissues highly susceptible to oxidative stress, such as the vascular wall and neural cells, where GPx-1 is predominantly expressed.
