    SEE ALSO...

GPI Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects glucose-6-phosphate isomerase (GPI) in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GPI is a crucial enzyme that plays a significant role in the glycolytic and gluconeogenic pathways, facilitating the interconversion of glucose-6-phosphate and fructose-6-phosphate. GPI (E-4) antibody supports research into cellular energy homeostasis and metabolic balance, particularly in tissues with high energy demands. GPI monoclonal antibody (E-4) enables studies of GPI′s function as a neurotrophic factor, supporting the survival and growth of spinal and sensory neurons, which underscores its importance in both metabolic processes and neurobiology. Mutations or deficiencies in GPI can lead to severe health issues, including hereditary nonspherocytic hemolytic anemia, hydrops fetalis, and neurological impairments, highlighting GPI′s critical role in human health. Anti-GPI antibody (E-4) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying these pathways and their implications in various diseases.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with GPI (E-4): sc-398382 monoclonal antibody?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
