gp91-phox Antibody (54.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects gp91-phox in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. anti-gp91-phox antibody (54.1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. gp91-phox, also known as cytochrome b-245 beta chain, plays a crucial role in the function of the NADPH oxidase complex, which is essential for generating reactive oxygen species in phagocytes and other cell types. gp91-phox is primarily located in the membrane of phagocytic cells, where gp91-phox forms part of the flavocytochrome cytochrome b558 alongside the p22-phox subunit. gp91-phox localization allows for rapid generation of superoxide in response to various stimuli, which is critical for immune response and pathogen clearance. gp91-phox serves as a surface oxygen sensor, initiating cellular signaling pathways in response to hypoxia, thereby influencing various physiological processes. Distinct expression patterns of gp91-phox in immune cells, compared to its homolog Mox1, highlight gp91-phox specialized role in the immune system, making gp91-phox monoclonal antibody (54.1) an invaluable tool for researchers studying oxidative stress, immune responses, and related signaling pathways.

Does this antibody also detect in mice tissue all other Nox isoforms besides Nox2? your datasheet explains it is good for nox3 and nox4 detection too. Does it mean the signal in the whole brain is an overall nox2+nox3 and 4?

Can this antibody be used for frozen tissue (for IHC)?

Can I use this antibody conjugated with Phycoerythrin for IHC or IF? If yes, under which channel can I image the stained cells? Is there a protocol for IHC or IF for this antibody? Thank you

Thank you for your question. Anti-gp91-phox Antibody (54.1) and its conjugates are recommended for detection of gp91-phox of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and IHC(P). They are also recommended for detection of ERp57, Mox1, Nox3 and Nox4. You can find our recommended protocols for IHC and IF experiments under this link: https://www.scbt.com/resources/protocols PE absorption peaks in the visible light spectrum are measured at 495 and 545/566 nm.
