SEE ALSO...

GP73 Antibody (F-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GP73 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GP73 (F-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GP73, also known as Golgi phosphoprotein 2, GOLPH2, or Golgi membrane protein, is a type II transmembrane protein predominantly located in the Golgi apparatus, where GP73 plays a crucial role in post-translational modification of proteins synthesized in the rough endoplasmic reticulum. This modification is vital for proper protein folding, stability, and function, which are essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating intracellular transport. Notably, GP73 levels are significantly elevated in individuals with acute and chronic liver diseases, making GP73 a potential biomarker for liver dysfunction. The human GP73 gene is mapped to chromosome 9q21.33, highlighting GP73′s genetic significance in health and disease.
