GP-39 Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects human cartilage glycoprotein 39 (GP-39) in mouse samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GP-39, also known as YKL-40, is a glycoprotein secreted primarily by articular chondrocytes, synoviocytes, and macrophages, playing a crucial role in inflammatory response and tissue remodeling. Elevated levels of GP-39 in serum and synovial fluid are associated with inflammatory diseases, particularly rheumatoid arthritis, where GP-39 levels correlate with joint destruction extent. GP-39 is predominantly expressed in articular chondrocytes and synovial cells, with additional expression in liver, while being absent in muscle tissues, lung, pancreas, mononuclear cells, and fibroblasts. As a candidate autoantigen in rheumatoid arthritis, GP-39 demonstrates significance in immune response and cellular adaptation to environmental changes. GP-39 (D-6) antibody provides researchers with a valuable tool for investigating GP-39′s role in various pathological conditions, enabling deeper understanding of GP-39 function and potential as a therapeutic target.
