GNA1 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects GNA1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GNA1 (A-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Glucosamine 6-phosphate N-acetyltransferase (GNA1), also known as phosphoglucosamine transacetylase or phosphoglucosamine acetylase, is a crucial enzyme in UDP-GlcNAc biosynthesis pathway, which is essential for glycoprotein and glycolipid synthesis. GNA1 is a peripheral membrane protein containing one N-acetyltransferase domain and primarily localizes in Golgi apparatus and endosome, mapping to cytoband 14q22.1. GNA1 plays a vital role in catalyzing Acetyl-CoA and Glucosamine-6-phosphate conversion into Glucosamine-6-phosphate, a key step in UDP-GlcNAc formation, which is critical for various cellular processes, including cell signaling, cell adhesion, and extracellular matrix structural integrity. GNA1′s ability to facilitate these biochemical pathways underscores its importance in cellular function and development, making anti-GNA1 antibody (A-3) an invaluable tool for researchers studying these processes.
