GKLF Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody raised against amino acids 1-180 of human GKLF, also known as Kruppel-like factor 4 (KLF4). Anti-GKLF antibody (C-6) is validated for applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), with reactivity specific to human proteins. KLF4 is a zinc finger transcription factor belonging to the Kruppel-like factor family, which regulates processes including cell proliferation, differentiation, and development. KLF4 is predominantly localized in the nucleus, functioning as a transcriptional regulator by binding to specific DNA sequences, where KLF4 activates or represses gene expression depending on the cellular context. This nuclear localization is critical for KLF4′s role in controlling genes essential for maintaining epithelial homeostasis and response to stress. KLF4 is highly expressed in epithelial tissues, such as the gastrointestinal tract and skin, and is involved in growth arrest and cellular differentiation.
