GIPC Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects GIPC in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GIPC antibody (B-6) is specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 303-331 at the C-terminus of GIPC of human origin. GIPC monoclonal antibody (B-6), also known as GAIP interacting protein at the C terminus, SEMCAP-1, or synectin, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by interacting with RGS-GAIP, a GTPase-activating protein that regulates G(i) subunits. GIPC is primarily localized to clusters of vesicles near the plasma membrane, where GIPC is involved in the G protein-coupled signaling pathways that govern clathrin-coated vesicular trafficking. GIPC′s localization facilitates the coordination of multiprotein complexes at cell-cell junctions in epithelial cells and neurons, which is essential for maintaining cellular communication and integrity. GIPC interacts with membrane-bound semaphorin F (M-SemF), a protein critical for neuronal axon growth, thereby influencing the subcellular distribution of M-SemF in the brain. GIPC′s ability to modulate these interactions highlights GIPC′s significance in both normal cellular function and potential pathological conditions, making anti-GIPC antibody (B-6) a valuable tool for researchers studying these complex biological processes.
