SEE ALSO...

GIPC Antibody (B-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GIPC protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GIPC monoclonal antibody (B-12) is specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 3-27 at the N-terminus of GIPC of human origin. GIPC (B-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GIPC (B-12) monoclonal antibody, also known as GAIP interacting protein at the C terminus, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by interacting with RGS-GAIP, a GTPase-activating protein that regulates G protein signaling pathways. This interaction is vital for modulating G protein-coupled receptor activity, essential for various physiological processes, including neuronal signaling and cellular communication. GIPC is primarily localized to clusters of vesicles near the plasma membrane, where GIPC is involved in regulating clathrin-coated vesicular trafficking, thereby influencing transport and localization of signaling molecules. GIPC associates with membrane-bound semaphorin F, important for neuronal axon growth, suggesting a significant role in nervous system development and maintenance. GIPC′s ability to coordinate these complex interactions underscores importance in both normal cellular function and potential pathological conditions.
