GCP3 Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GCP3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GCP3 (C-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GCP3, also known as γ-Tubulin complex component 3 or TUBGCP3, plays a crucial role in microtubule organization by localizing to the centrosome, where GCP3 is integral to microtubule nucleation. GCP3 is part of the γ-Tubulin complex, which consists of γ-Tubulin and associated proteins such as GCP2, GCP4, GCP5, and GCP6, all of which are essential for the formation and stability of microtubules. Proper functioning of the γ-Tubulin complex is vital for various cellular processes, including cell division and intracellular transport, as microtubules serve as tracks for the movement of organelles and vesicles. GCP3 is a 907 amino acid protein that is conserved across eukaryotes, indicating GCP3′s fundamental role in cellular architecture. Notably, GCP3 exists in three isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may allow for functional diversity in microtubule dynamics and organization.
