GATAD2A Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GATAD2A protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-GATAD2A antibody (G-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GATAD2A, also known as p66α, is a highly conserved protein that plays a crucial role in development and is ubiquitously expressed across different tissues. GATAD2A protein is a key component of the NuRD (nucleosome remodeling and histone deacetylation) complex, which is essential for ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling and histone deacetylation activities. GATAD2A contains a GATA-type zinc finger domain and interacts with other proteins such as MBD2 and MBD3, facilitating the repression of transcription by enhancing the interaction with histone tails. Notably, GATAD2A′s functional repressor activity is dependent on post-translational modifications, specifically SUMOylation at Lys-30 and Lys-487, which are critical for its role in gene regulation. GATAD2A′s ability to modulate chromatin structure and gene expression underscores its importance in cellular processes and development, making GATAD2A (G-9) monoclonal antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying these mechanisms.
