Ganglioside GD2 Antibody (11H3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects Ganglioside GD2 of human origin by western blotting (WB) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Ganglioside GD2 antibody (11H3) is available in a non-conjugated form, making it suitable for various experimental applications. Ganglioside GD2 is a sialic acid-containing glycosphingolipid that plays a crucial role in cell signaling and cell-cell interactions, which are essential for maintaining cellular communication and tissue integrity. Ganglioside GD2 is predominantly located on the cell surface, where Ganglioside GD2 participates in the formation of the tetraspanin web, a complex network that facilitates interactions between different membrane proteins. Ganglioside GD2 expression is particularly significant in neuroblastoma cells and tumors derived from neuroectoderm, such as malignant melanoma and certain gastrointestinal cancers, highlighting Ganglioside GD2′s potential as a target for immunotherapy. Additionally, Ganglioside GD2 is involved in the regulation of apoptosis through the dephosphorylation of focal adhesion kinases, indicating Ganglioside GD2′s role in cell survival and death pathways. Anti-Ganglioside GD2 antibody (11H3)′s specific recognition capabilities make this antibody a valuable tool for researchers investigating Ganglioside GD2′s function and therapeutic potential in cancer and other diseases.
