γ-Actin Antibody (1-37) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects γ-Actin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-γ-Actin antibody (1-37) recognizes a crucial component of the cytoskeleton, playing a vital role in maintaining cell shape, enabling cellular motility, and facilitating intracellular transport. γ-Actin is predominantly found in non-muscle cells, where γ-Actin contributes to the formation of various structures, including lamellipodia and filopodia, which are essential for cell migration and signaling. γ-Actin (1-37) monoclonal antibody helps researchers study these structures, underscoring their importance in processes such as wound healing and immune responses, where rapid cell movement is necessary. γ-Actin interacts with a variety of proteins, including profilin and cofilin, which are involved in actin polymerization and depolymerization, respectively. These interactions are critical for the dynamic remodeling of the actin cytoskeleton, allowing cells to adapt to their environment and respond to external stimuli effectively. Anti-γ-Actin antibody (1-37) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate roles of actin in cellular processes and its implications in various diseases.

Can γ-Actin (1-37): sc-65637 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. Yes, γ-Actin (1-37): sc-65637 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
