Anti-γ-Actin Antibody (1-17) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 (kappa light chain) γ-Actin antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
raised aginast cytoplasmic γ-Actin from brain tissue of bovine origin
Anti-gamma-Actin Antibody (1-17) is recommended for detection of γ Actin of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and IHC(P); also reactive with additional species, including bovine
Anti-gamma-Actin Antibody (1-17) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems

γ-Actin Antibody (1-17) is a high quality monoclonal gamma-Actin antibody (also designated γ-Actin antibody) suitable for the detection of the gamma-Actin protein of mouse, rat and human origin. γ-Actin Antibody (1-17) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-gamma-Actin antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-gamma-Actin antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. All eukaryotic cells express Actin, which often constitutes as much as 50% of total cellular protein. Actin filaments can form both stable and labile structures and are crucial components of microvilli and the contractile apparatus of muscle cells. While lower eukaryotes, such as yeast, have only one Actin gene, higher eukaryotes have several isoforms encoded by a family of genes. At least six types of Actin are present in mammalian tissues and fall into three classes. α-Actin expression is limited to various types of muscle, whereas β-Actin and γ-Actin are the principle constituents of filaments in other tissues. Members of the small GTPase family regulate the organization of the Actin cytoskeleton. Rho controls the assembly of Actin stress fibers and focal adhesion. Rac regulates Actin filament accumulation at the plasma membrane. Cdc42 stimulates formation of filopodia.
