    SEE ALSO...

GAIP Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects GAIP in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GAIP, or Gα-interacting protein, plays a crucial role in the regulation of G protein signaling pathways by acting as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for specific Gα subunits, particularly Gα i, Gα o, and Gα t. This regulation is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and ensuring proper signal transduction, as GAIP accelerates the conversion of GTP to GDP, effectively turning off the signaling cascade initiated by G protein-coupled receptors. GAIP′s ability to selectively deactivate these Gα isoforms underscores its importance in modulating various physiological processes, including neurotransmission and immune responses. Additionally, GAIP′s interactions with other proteins, such as RGS1, RGS4, and RGS10, further illustrate GAIP′s integral role in the complex network of G protein signaling, making anti-GAIP antibody (A-10) an essential tool for researchers studying these pathways and their implications in health and disease.

Hi, I ordered GAIP Antibody (A-10): sc-365157 for western blot analysis. But I am wondering, if I can use 5% non fat milk in TBS-tween buffer for the dilution of this antibody. I would be happy to get your feedback. With kind regards, Rahul

Thank you for your question. You can find our recommended protocol for western blotting at the bottom of this page under 'Resources'. We recommend using either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 (based on milk powder) or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335 (BSA-based). Use UltraCruz® Blocking Reagent (sc-516214) for blocking Immobilon®-FL PVDF membranes.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-365157 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
