Datasheets
  • GAIP Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ GAIP antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 189-216 at the C-terminus of GAIP of human origin
  • recommended for detection of GAIP of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for GAIP Antibody (B-6) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with GAIP Antibody (B-6) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

GAIP Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects GAIP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GAIP antibody (B-6) is available as the non-conjugated form. GAIP protein plays a crucial role in regulating G protein signaling pathways, which are essential for transmitting signals from cell surface receptors to various intracellular effectors. GAIP functions as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) that enhances GTP to GDP hydrolysis on specific Gα subunits, thereby inactivating them and modulating signaling activity. This regulation is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and ensuring appropriate responses to external stimuli. GAIP has been shown to interact with Gα i, Gα o, and Gα t isoforms, but not with Gα s, highlighting specificity in G protein signaling. GAIP′s ability to deactivate these Gα isoforms helps control processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis, making GAIP an important target for research in various physiological and pathological contexts.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-271810 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
