FOXP3 Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FOXP3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FOXP3 (F-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FOXP3 plays a critical role in the immune system as a transcription factor essential for the development and function of regulatory T cells, which are vital for maintaining immune tolerance and preventing autoimmune diseases. Located primarily in the nucleus, FOXP3 acts by binding to specific DNA sequences, thereby repressing the transcription of pro-inflammatory cytokines and promoting the expression of anti-inflammatory factors. This regulatory function is crucial for preventing excessive immune responses that can lead to tissue damage and chronic inflammation. Mutations in FOXP3 are associated with immune dysregulation, particularly in the context of the autoimmune disorder IPEX (Immune Dysregulation, Polyendocrinopathy, Enteropathy, X-linked syndrome), highlighting FOXP3′s importance in maintaining immune homeostasis.
