    SEE ALSO...

FMO5 Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FMO5 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FMO5 antibody (E-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FMO5, also known as dimethylaniline monooxygenase [N-oxide-forming] 5, is a 533 amino acid enzyme that plays a crucial role in xenobiotic metabolism, although FMO5 does not function as a drug-metabolizing enzyme like its FMO family counterparts. Localized primarily in microsomal and endoplasmic reticulum membranes, FMO5 is expressed in both adult and fetal liver tissues and is unique among flavin-containing monooxygenases due to specific binding of flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) as a cofactor. FMO5 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 1q21.1, and FMO5′s distinct function and localization are essential for understanding its role in metabolic processes and potential implications in pharmacogenomics.
