FKBP12 Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects FKBP12 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FKBP12 (H-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FKBP12, also known as 12 KDa FK506-Binding Protein, plays a crucial role in cellular processes by acting as a peptidyl-prolyl isomerase, which facilitates protein folding and regulates function. FKBP12 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where FKBP12 interacts with various signaling pathways, including those involved in T cell activation and calcium signaling. FKBP12′s cytoplasmic localization enables modulation of key receptors, such as type I TGFβ receptor, thereby influencing cellular responses to growth factors and cytokines. FKBP12 binds immunosuppressive drugs like FK506 and Rapamycin, underscoring significance in pharmacological contexts and potential therapeutic applications.
