FKBP12 Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects FKBP12 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FKBP12 antibody (G-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FKBP12, a member of the immunophilin family, plays a crucial role in cellular processes by acting as a peptidyl-prolyl isomerase, which is essential for protein folding and function. FKBP12 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where FKBP12 is involved in regulating T cell activation, cell cycle entry, and intracellular calcium release. FKBP12′s cytoplasmic localization enables interaction with various signaling pathways, including constitutive association with the intracellular domain of the type I TGFβ receptor, which is vital for modulating TGFβ signaling independent of receptor activation. This interaction highlights FKBP12′s potential role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and importance in therapeutic contexts, particularly in the modulation of immune responses and cancer biology.
