Datasheets
  • Fis1 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ, cited in 14 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 1-152 representing full length Fis1 of human origin
  • Anti-Fis1 Antibody (C-10) is recommended for detection of Fis1 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • Anti-Fis1 Antibody (C-10) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Fis1 Antibody (C-10) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Fis1 Antibody (C-10) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

Fis1 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Fis1 protein in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Fis1 (C-10) antibody is available in non-conjugated form and conjugated to agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® variants. Fis1, or mitochondrial fission 1 protein, regulates mitochondrial dynamics, specifically mitochondrial fission, which maintains healthy cellular function. Fis1 resides on the outer mitochondrial membrane, working with dynamin-related protein 1 (Drp1) to facilitate mitochondrial division. Fis1′s C-terminal domain enables mitochondrial localization, while its N-terminal domain drives fission activity. Disrupted mitochondrial fission through Fis1 dysfunction can trigger neurodegenerative diseases and cancer, underscoring Fis1′s significance in cellular health and disease.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with Fis1 (C-10): sc-376469 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
