Filamin 3 Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Filamin 3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Filamin 3, also known as Filamin B or β-Filamin, is a crucial actin-binding protein that plays a significant role in the structural organization of the cytoskeleton, particularly during endochondral ossification, vertebral segmentation, and joint formation. Filamin 3′s ability to form flexible cross-links between actin filaments is vital for maintaining cellular integrity and facilitating cellular responses to mechanical stress. Additionally, Filamin 3 interacts with Filamin 1, which is essential for neuroblast migration into the cortical plate from the ventricular zone, highlighting Filamin 3′s importance in neurodevelopment. Mutations in the FLNB gene, which encodes Filamin 3, are linked to several skeletal disorders, including autosomal dominant Larsen syndrome and spondylocarpotarsal syndrome, as well as the neurological disorder periventricular heterotopia. Anti-Filamin 3 antibody (A-4) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying these critical biological processes and their implications in health and disease.
