Filamin 3 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Filamin 3 protein of human origin and Filamin β protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Filamin 3 antibody (F-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Filamin 3, also known as Filamin B or β-Filamin, maintains structural integrity of the cytoskeleton by forming flexible cross-links between actin filaments, essential for cellular shape and mechanical stability. Filamin 3 predominantly resides in the cytoplasm and participates in endochondral ossification, vertebral segmentation, and joint formation. Proper localization of Filamin 3 facilitates cytoskeleton organization, enabling cells to respond effectively to mechanical stress and maintain shape during movement. Filamin 3 interacts with other proteins, such as Filamin 1, playing a significant role in neuroblast migration and developmental processes. Mutations in the FLNB gene, encoding Filamin 3, are linked to several skeletal disorders, including autosomal dominant Larsen syndrome and spondylocarpotarsal syndrome, as well as periventricular heterotopia, highlighting Filamin 3′s critical role in both skeletal and neural development.
