Fibulin-3 Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Fibulin-3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Fibulin-3 antibody (C-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Fibulin-3, also known as EFEMP1, is a secreted glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in the structural integrity of the extracellular matrix, particularly in the eye, where Fibulin-3 is involved in maintaining the health of the retinal pigment epithelium. Fibulin-3 is essential for proper cellular adhesion and signaling, and Fibulin-3 dysfunction is linked to Doyne honeycomb retinal dystrophy, a genetic condition characterized by the accumulation of yellow-white deposits known as drusen beneath the retinal pigment epithelium.
