Fibrillarin Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Fibrillarin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Fibrillarin (G-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Fibrillarin is a crucial nonhistone protein predominantly localized in the fibrillar region of the nucleolus, specifically within the dense fibrillar and fibrillar center regions, where Fibrillarin plays a vital role in processing ribosomal RNA (rRNA) transcripts. This localization underscores Fibrillarin′s involvement in ribosome biogenesis, a fundamental process for cellular function and growth. Fibrillarin expression occurs in various cell types, including HeLa cells, 3T3 cells, and human peripheral blood lymphocytes, and during cell division, Fibrillarin is found at chromosomal nucleolar regions in metaphase and anaphase, serving as an early marker for nucleolus formation during telophase. Fibrillarin′s structure features an RNA-binding domain and an RNP consensus sequence, which facilitates interaction with U3 small nucleolar RNA, further emphasizing Fibrillarin′s essential role in rRNA processing and ribosome assembly.

I was wondering whether you have any information regarding room temp incubation of this antibody (sc-374022) for IF on cells? I'm planning to use this for a drug screen and the system is not amenable to o/n incubation at 4C. Thanks.
