Fibrillarin Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Fibrillarin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Fibrillarin antibody (B-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Fibrillarin is a crucial nonhistone protein predominantly located in the fibrillar region of the nucleolus, specifically within the dense fibrillar and fibrillar center regions. Fibrillarin′s localization is vital for ribosome biogenesis, playing a key role in processing ribosomal RNA (rRNA) transcripts. During the cell cycle, Fibrillarin serves as an early marker for nucleolus formation in telophase, highlighting Fibrillarin′s importance in cellular division and nucleolar reassembly. Fibrillarin′s structure features an RNA-binding domain and an RNP consensus sequence, facilitating interaction with U3 small nucleolar RNA, further underscoring Fibrillarin′s essential function in rRNA maturation. Fibrillarin is expressed in various cell types, including HeLa cells, 3T3 cells, and human peripheral blood lymphocytes, and is found at chromosomal nucleolar regions during metaphase and anaphase, indicating Fibrillarin′s involvement in chromosomal organization and nucleolar dynamics.
