SEE ALSO...

FGFR-3 Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects FGFR-3 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FGFR-3 monoclonal antibody (B-9) is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing versatility for various experimental needs. FGFR-3, a member of the fibroblast growth factor receptor family, plays a crucial role in regulating cell growth, differentiation, and tissue repair. FGFR-3 is primarily located on the cell surface, where FGFR-3 binds to fibroblast growth factors, initiating a cascade of intracellular signaling that influences cellular processes such as proliferation and survival. Proper functioning of FGFR-3 is vital for normal skeletal development, and mutations in FGFR-3 can lead to a range of skeletal dysplasias, including achondroplasia and thanatophoric dysplasia, highlighting FGFR-3′s importance in human health. Additionally, aberrations in FGFR-3 signaling have been implicated in certain cancers, making FGFR-3 a significant target for therapeutic intervention. The gene encoding FGFR-3 is located on chromosome 4p16 and produces multiple isoforms through alternative splicing, which are expressed in various tissues, including the brain, kidney, and testis. Understanding the role of FGFR-3 in both normal physiology and disease states underscores the relevance of FGFR-3 antibody (B-9) in research and clinical applications.

Hi, what incubation time do you suggest?

Asked by: Assunta
Thank you for your question. The incubation time depends on the antibody and the samples you are working on, as well as what application you are using it for. In general for WB, we recommend a starting dilution of 1:100, and for IF/IHC, we recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. You can find all this information and more in our recommended protocols: https://www.scbt.com/resources/protocols

Hi, can we run this antibody in urinary bladder tumour?

Asked by: Muhammad Asif
Thank you for your question. We have published data on our website using this antibody in formalin fixed, paraffin-embedded human urinary bladder tissue. We have not tested the antibody specifically in urinary bladder tumour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Antibody staining human testis by IHC-PAntibody at 1/100 staining germ cells of the adult human testis by IHC-P.  The tissue was blocked with both BSA and serum and fixed prior to incubation with the antibody for 8 hours at 4°. A biotinylated secondary antibody was used . An Alexa Fluor 594 conjugated goat anti-mouse antibody was used as the secondary.
