FEZ1 Antibody (F-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects FEZ1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). FEZ1, also known as leucine zipper putative tumor suppressor or LZTS1, plays a crucial role in regulating cell growth and is characterized by its DNA-binding leucine zipper motif, which is essential for its function as a negative regulator of cell proliferation. FEZ1 is predominantly expressed in normal breast and prostate tissues, but expression is often lost in various tumors, including those of the breast and prostate, highlighting FEZ1′s importance in tumor suppression. Loss of FEZ1 expression in cancer cell lines and primary tumors can be attributed to genetic mutations or epigenetic modifications, such as hypermethylation of the CpG island surrounding the FEZ1 promoter, which can disrupt regulatory functions. During cell-cycle progression, FEZ1 localizes to microtubule components and undergoes hyperphosphorylation by cAMP-dependent kinase, a modification that may influence activity and interactions with other proteins involved in cell cycle regulation. Anti-FEZ1 antibody (F-12) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying the mechanisms of tumorigenesis and FEZ1′s role in cellular processes.
